A Jewish Star Singing Competition

Soul II Soul and COLlive.com - Chabad-Lubavitch Community News Service - present the Jewish Star singing competition, where contestants compete for a chance to be named a "Jewish Star" at the Soul II Soul concert 5770.

The first of its kind in the Chabad music world, the competition seeks to discover the next Jewish singing star through online auditions and voting, with the final decision and winner announced live by a panel of judges at the Soul II Soul concert.

Contestants are invited to record a video of themselves singing the Jewish song of their choice. Fans around the world will vote on the video performances, giving a rating from 1-5.

Voting will end January 24, and the top vote-getters will then be reviewed by the contest judges, who will choose three finalists.

The fnalists will be announced February 4.

The three finalists will each perform live at the Soul II Soul Concert on Sunday, March 7, 2010, at Brooklyn School for Music & Theatre, 883 Classon Avenue, Brooklyn, New York, in front of the judges and concert audience.
